The Client

    U.B. Ski and University Beach Club provides Winter and Spring break vacation trips to clients from colleges across Texas and surrounding states — with  from Mexico’s beaches to Colorado ski resorts. But this multi-state reach wasn’t always possible. Working from their Austin office with three office assistants and an old database system, they were set up only to handle a limited amount of clients. No longer willing to allow business growth to be thwarted by technical limitations, owner Phil Cohen expanded his company’s reach and effectiveness with an innovative FileMaker Pro database solution.

The Assignment

    U.B. Ski and University Beach Club offers a large range of services, from various accommodation and travel options to various beach and ski resort packages. Their highly sought-after expertise in travel arrangements is what has maintained the business’s success, but with growing requests for more options, Phil found himself re-examining their use of technology. They needed to improve their database system for coordinating all aspects of their business. With their growing business in mind, owner Phil Cohen contacted us, a FileMaker Pro solutions provider.

The Solution

    Together with Phil, we developed a creative solution that improved the management of all related information. Featuring built-in and easy-to-access applications, the solution included:

4. ✦    Incorporating an e-mail plug-in to simplify and streamline marketing, sales and client contacts.
   

5. ✦    Streamlining the entire process with FileMaker Pro and .Mac, so that Phil’s administrative assistant is more in synch with him.
   

The Solution
